We stand behind clean air, clean energy, and jobs that come from commitments to those values. It's pretty simple: we believe in protecting the environment for future generations. And we believe these candidates give us the best shot at doing so.
We believe in a lot of other things too, but we don't want to forcefeed you our opinions. We don't want to turn this blog into a bully pulpit. But if you like what you see here, you may want to check out the endorsements of the Sierra Club and NRDC, two environmental organizations we support.
Tommy got so excited for this shot, his snoot loop came off. |
We respect other people’s opinions, too, even when they differ from ours, and we welcome civil discourse. That’s what democracy is all about, right?
Tommy sure is a politically motivated pup!

Kari, Tommy takes his civic responsibility very seriously!
ReplyDeleteTommy must have posed in my yard!
ReplyDeletePetrea, I'm happy to say we had our pick of Pasadena yards.
ReplyDeleteMy neighbors have the wrong signs! I want to live near yours.
ReplyDeleteVoting: what would Tommy do?
Lovely, thoughtful post. "Practically perfect in all possible ways." I'm just a quoting fool today.
ReplyDeleteExcellent work Susan (and Tommy). Love the head (dog) shots. What a perfect companion to the cause. ddxx
ReplyDeletetommy for president and if anyone can take down the Taliban and Osama Bin Laden - it is Tommy our, full of life and surprises. Thank god Mommy is a hippy. He He.
ReplyDeleteSue very well done, I love your photos they add so much to your wonderful stories.

See how smart pits are?
ReplyDeleteWalter, Henry and Mac all stand by Tommy!
ReplyDeleteBellis, move to this neighborhood! We'd love to have you, although there is a sprinkling of those "other" signs.
ReplyDeleteAw, Hiker. What a nice note. I love all the quotes you posted on Altadena Hiker - and here.
dd from Chic & Unique Venues, glad you like the head (dog) shots.
ReplyDeleteKristen, Tommy for President! Ha! Hope you guys are all doing well. Miss you.
Kelly, pits are brilliant! So are the members of your pack, Liz. Glad we're all in agreement!
Bellis, you have some rich neighbors who want to protect their piece of the pie.
ReplyDeleteI remember John and I once thought we'd like to get rich and move to San Marino. Then, during the 2008 elections, we happened to drive through S.M. and saw all the McCain/Palin signs in peoples' yards. We decided we prefer the neighbors we have.
We are with Tommy on this! JERRY!
ReplyDeleteThis just in...because of TLJ's endorsements, Brown and Boxer have gained another two points each in the polls! Keep up the good work, Tommy and Susan!
ReplyDeleteHow fortuitous that Miss J agrees with all these. She approves this message.
ReplyDeletePetrea, I hope you and John still end up rich while continuing to enjoy your current neighbors.
ReplyDeleteDaisy Dog and Miss Janey, so glad to hear you're with us!
Melanie, wonderful news! Very happy to hear our work is having such a positive impact on the polls.
Let's hope the majority of Californians agree with all of you wise and wonderful people and pooches.
That's the plan, Susan. If we end up with too much money we'll just renovate.
ReplyDeleteIt could happen.
It definitely could happen. I hope it does.
ReplyDeleteA little secret (she said in a whisper) My TV doesn't work unless I hold the rabbit ears between both of my big toes and the next one over. I haven't a clue as to what is going on and the worst of it is, I didn't bother to find out. So I have taken my clue from the brilliant and striking Tommy and have printed the link you provided. This democracy thing is a cinch!
ReplyDelete--"a bully pulpit"--related to a pitly bull pit?
ReplyDeleteSorry. I don't usually see puns(?), much less try to use 'em. But there it was . . .
Haven't seen Cal's results this morning. Hope you did as well as possible. Michigan's Republican gov. candidate slaughtered our guy, and a nearby city voted not to fund its (good) library after July, 2011.
At least Angle and her Little Sister The Witch lost. And Boehner's lost his tan, so we maybe we won't have an orange Speaker.
Banjo, no library funding? My heart breaks.
ReplyDeletePA, I don't blame you for avoiding that TV, even if you didn't have to use your toes to get a clear picture. Glad that Tommy could guide you to the right, er, left... vote!
ReplyDeleteBanjo, California remains one of the few blue states in a sea of red. I thought of your post when I realized I felt proud of that - proud to be a member of the California tribe. Odd, huh?
Angle and her Little Sister The Witch. Ha!
Boehner is scary with or without the orange face.
I agree with Petrea - very sad about the loss of library funding.

ReplyDeleteTommy as a political pundit, has California really gone to the dogs.... He picked the governor!! GO TOMMY, you're brilliant, and very well trained. Sue you are great too!! :)

Lynnie, Tommy the brilliant pit bull pundit. That has a great ring to it.

I learned of your blog from Petrea, and while the election is over, I'd like to say that I like what you're doing here. Love Tommy!
ReplyDeleteMargaret, thanks so much for stopping by! It's a pleasure to see you here.
ReplyDeleteYes, we're running behind with things over here at the Tommy blog, but I'll post again soon. I'll visit your place, too.
